A Lesson in Biology for Tod Akin and the GOP

Me being a literate member of the human species thought rape meant sexual intercourse without consent. After all my years of College and Law School, I learned something new, rape can be deemed "legitimate".


Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.) justified his extreme opposition to abortion by claiming that victims of "legitimate rape" rarely get pregnant.


In an interview with KTVI-TV on Sunday, the GOP Senate nominee was asked if he supported abortion in the case of rape.

"From what I understand from doctors, that's really rare," said Akin said of pregnancy caused by rape. "If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let's assume maybe that didn't work or something. I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist."

So, did I miss something in Biology class? Did somehow a sperm and egg still not fertilize the same depending on if it's a rape or not? What doctors told him this misinformation, or was this crap pulled from his ass? How is rape legitimate? What makes it legitimate? If a weapon, threats, or death is involved then that qualifies as legitimate? What ways does the human body shut that whole thing down from legitimate rape? Does he mean jumping up and down, cutting off radio transmissions to the stork or urinating on a rag  or some other down home remedy that your momma told you so you wouldn't get in "trouble". What type of delusionary scale does one have to operate to think that a woman can't get pregnant when she is raped. But then again, it's the woman's fault she got raped because she had on tight clothes or a low cut top, right? This type of insensitive, "blame the victim" mentality by the legal system and the politicians, is why numerous victims stay silent about their experiences. Look around, 1 in 5 are raped, and it's forcible, just not reported. Who wants a trial by ordeal instead of trial by jury when the girl will just be demonized and called a slut?

Welcome to the total rock bottom of the cesspool of the GOP. Just when you think that it can't get any worse, say anything any crazier, they outdo themselves. He and others that think like him are a disgrace to humanity.

Mr. Akin apologized on the patron saint of chicken sandwiches and Grand Inquisitor of same sex marriage and denier of the US Constitution, Huckabee's down home Fox show, full of chewing up the days events grinding them down to one or two talking points, getting rid of all elements that might be hard for baby chicks to follow, like facts: complete with double negatives and all the ignorance that values voters crave. He stated, "I don’t know that I'm the only person in public office who suffered from foot in mouth disease here," he said. "This was a very, very serious error." He went on to demonize his opponent then went on to say this, "I feel just as strongly as ever that my background and ability will be a big asset in replacing [Sen.] Clare McCaskill and putting some sanity back in our government. I'm not a quitter, and my belief is we're going to take this thing forward, and by the grace of God we're going to win this race." I question God's existence...Todd Akin will put sanity back in government? The reinstitution of slavery, women as third class citizens, the United States taken back to the 1800's, maybe what he and the Tea Party want to achieve, but sanity-not so much. Insanity is repeating the same mistake and expecting a different out come.

Then to drive the stupidity home, he invoked 9/11 to explain his pro-life views, saying the first responders didn't ask for identification of those they saved because all lives are important. I know how America has romanticized 9/11 and made every person a hero for various campaign slogans, but I'm sure when those men ran into those towers, they were performing their jobs and if they knew their memories were being politicized and bastardized by an idiot that thinks a woman's body ceases to work due to mental trauma, then they would've stayed on the street and watched the people burn.

Akin said that he was trying to refer specifically "forcible rape" in his comment, but that "legitimate" was "absolutely the wrong word" for him to use. I thought rape by it's definition was forcible, you know the opposite of consensual. My favorite line from him to justify election is this, "Just because somebody makes a mistake doesn't make them useless." Yes, ass clown, it makes you useless when you make irresponsible, dangerous, erroneous legal and scientific distinctions. 

All rape is real rape, all rape is forcible. that's what makes it rape. Just because he knows some women who were raped that happened to not get pregnant doesn't mean that women don't pregnant from rape. Just like women don't always get pregnant from having consensual sex. But, I guess if you have sex, legitimate or forcible sex, then whatever the consequences are, are all God's will. Sorry, but I and modern science disagrees with you and if you have a penis, you really shouldn't participate in this topic of conversation anyway. 

What Akin and his Religious zealot Republican moron colleagues are telling us, is that they don't believe in abortion even in the case of rape and they will do whatever they can in their power to try and overturn a settled legal issue. Again, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, and the rest of these clowns do not possess the necessary parts to carry a child, and they seem to be blithely unaware of the way babies are born, the gestation period, what the morning after pill is (not an abortion pill, it's a mega birth control pill), what it does, and other ways to prevent pregnancies or the transmission of STDs other than invoking the fear of hell.

So, biology lesson fellas: the female body will NOT magically reject sperm due to rape, normal consensual sexual contact, prayer, holy water, chanting, channeling spirits, jumping up and down, the pull out method, or any other method real or imagined. If the sperm is active and it makes it through the house of horrors that is the female reproductive system and fertilizes the egg, a woman will become pregnant. Funny that it's within the realm of belief that a spirit can impregnate a virgin, that child can walk on water, bring a person back to life, was crucified and rose again in 3 days as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind and he will return to save the earth once again after a rapture, before a final apocalypse where other spirits will be cast into a lake of fire. It is also within the realm of belief that the earth is 6,000 years old, humans and dinosaurs coexisted and the tides in the ocean can't be explained, (says Bill'O the Clown). Yet, a male ejaculates inside a female and the sperm is magically rejected because it's a legitimate rape and that's believable.

Save your apology, you and others like you believe in your lame rhetorical nonsense. You meant what you said.

Barack Obama Worse Than 9/11? Insanity Break

Obama is moving up on the conservative scale, first he was analogized to Hitler now he is worse than 9/11.

Racist radio host and bull frog looking Neal Boortz has fed some red meat to the mentally challenged viewers on Sean Hannity and made a bold statement that has left me speechless:

"9-11 changed me somewhat… Barack Obama is a bigger disaster to this country than 9-11. If you took the phrase ‘fair share’ ‘millionaires and billionaires’ and ‘pass this bill’ out of his vocabulary he would be unable to deliver a speech… The American people developed a fighting spirit after 9-11 and we responded back after them. And if allowed to defeat would be total. But, Barack Obama, what he has done to our economy, what he has done to the American spirit of individual responsibility and self-reliance… Killing three thousand people is a tragedy, Sean. It is a real tragedy. But, killing the individualism, the self-reliance, and the self respect of the American people like Barack Obama has done is much more of a tragedy.”

What an unbelievably stupid thing to say. Only the most feeble minded in society, namely Fox viewers, Southern Baptists and Tea Partiers would co-sign onto such an idiotic claim. Boortz should be handed over to the families of Bush's 9-11 victims and let them have their way with the cowardly traitor. Its so refreshing to see the that the lives of 3,000 people be taken in vain. Don't you think?

First THEIR incompetence allows 9/11 to happen. Then they deny health care to first responders. Now, they joke about 9/11 and gloat about the president being unable to overcome their efforts to sabotage the country. Its disgusting. Republicans, how can you stand this? Is there not a single decent person among you to speak out against this? Of course not...you idiots boo a service man in a war zone, after a crusade of "support the troops" for 5 years because of his sexual orientation. What about the idiotic freedom fries when France decided to not go along with the invasion of Iraq? In some parts of Alabama freedom fries are still on the menu and it's 2011. What happened to "We will never forget?" It seems Republicans forget and will urinate on the flag for applause by the single minded "patriots" at their town halls or exploit the memories of the dead for political gain. Just remember that the next time they piss and moan about so and so not wearing an American flag lapel pin or keeping their hands in their pockets during the pledge of allegiance. What's worse? Every day I find new reasons to renounce my Alabama and US Citizenship and go to Canada or the UK. Say what you want about the EU, the populace is more cultured, thinner, and more educated then the yokels here. Plus, they have outlawed the death penalty and no one like Rick Perry or Sarah Palin would ever be taken seriously to lead a Baby sitter's club much less the country.

Neal Boortz has said many stupid, racist things and the US Constitution has given him the right to say anything he wants, but this is so over the top crazy. The vitriol is most definitely coming from the right. I checked the profile of the law school that he went to and *surprise, surprise* it's a 4th-tier school similar to Oral Roberts U. The median LSAT score of incoming students is 150 and the media GPA is 2.82. So we aren't dealing with the smartest bulb in the box. I think Michelle Bachmann is a step better with her mail order law school and she knows nothing about nothing and she is a so called tax attorney.

 

Maybe Boortz is confused and thinks 9/11/2001 is the same as 911 the emergency phone line. He needs to fix his statement: Osama attacked America and the Republicans and Spineless Democrats gave Bush a blank check to overreact and do what he wanted. Bush and his Homeland Security nonsense gave us the Patriot Act, Constitution shredding policies and we attacked the wrong country. Having nation building adventures in Afghanistan, Iraq and not paying for it along with medicare part D, and the Bush tax cuts provided a nice deficit. That's not even adding TAARP in 2008 when the bottom fell out the housing market DURING the Presidential elections, i.e. Bush was still President. So, no...christian conquest conservatism is the worst disaster along with gross stupidity and Neal is guilty of both.

There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with the President on policy issues and execution of those policy issues. I hated Dubyah with my heart and soul and at once thought he was the Antichrist until I realized that he was too remedial and fired him from that title. But no one, especially politicians and political talking heads would've ever said that Bush was responsible for 9/11 or the worse thing since 9/11. No Democrat politician has ever drafted a resolution in the house requesting Bush's college transcripts, birth certificate, calling him Hitler, a terrorist, a socialist, engaging in class warfare, none of those things. If Dubyah had ever come into my presence I would've addressed him as "Mr. President." Why? He was the President and that was his title and he was to be respected as such, even if he was a colossal screw up that got lucky twice.

Obama shot Bin Laden in the face for the 3,000 deaths on 9/11. For this insensitive, heartless, idiotic comment, I think he needs to shoot one more in the face to add a matching hole in Neal Boortz's head.

Pat Robertson...Crack is Whack and So are You

Pat Robertson speaks directly with, and to, God. The two are equals. God creates wealth to only those he deems worthy. Robertson, like Jesus, saves. Don't you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Robertson demands that his personal friend tell him what “He” will tell no one else: what is going to happen in the future. Robertson’s god is close and uses the televangelist to reveal the deity’s designs for doom and Armageddon. Apparently, that is all God is capable of these days, either granting the Pastor great wealth on the back of the church members or all consuming wrath because he wants to destroy his own creation in the most convoluted overly dramatic imaginable way instead of just scrapping the project and starting fresh.



Pat Robertson has a new job outside of insane charlatan, racist, bigot and failed fortune teller; he can now add seismologist to the list. This week, CBN’s flagship program did a week-long special series on “The Sign of the Times.” Well, talk about synergy, because this week has brought us an earthquake on the East Coast and a hurricane. After the earthquake hit, you might remember reports that the Washington Monument sustained a minor crack. (You know that's soooooo unusual).
Pat Robertson wondered if it was really all the hurricane’s fault, or if the crack was a sign from God. However, he was careful to preface his remarks with the following:


“I don’t want to get weird on this…” Naturally. Speculate all you want on the supernatural causes of mysterious cracks, but let’s not have things getting weird. Robertson continues:




"It seems to me the Washington Monument is a symbol of America’s power. It has been the symbol of our great nation. We look at that monument and we say, ‘This is one nation under God.’ Now there’s a crack in it. There’s a crack in it, and it’s closed up. Is that a sign from the Lord, is it something that has significance or is it just a result of an earthquake? You judge."
Really Pat? I never thought the Washington Monument symbolized America's power or "one nation under God". I thought it was a memorial to our first president George Washington, hence the name, WASHINGTON MONUMENT, or if you want to match crazy, it looks like a giant penis. Is a crack in a 125 year old building or any building for that matter, after an earthquake unusual? Apparently in Lala Land. Here is an extra credit question for you Pat? Who is buried in Grant's tomb? Maybe he believes that the Jefferson Memorial was named after George Jefferson. Maybe Pat knows if God has a penis since he and God are so close. Why don't you get that spackle that's on your face to fix the crack in the monument you lying vampire.


Pat’s god speaks to Robertson much like a drunken sailor: in parables, asides, and latent images that hint at things that might happen. Pat’s god also told the wealthy preacher (net worth is speculated to be over $1 billion) that major cities and possibly millions of people would be affected by the attack, which should have taken place sometime before the end of Obama’s first year in office. Guess his alluminum hat got a bad reception. To Robertson, god is a pathetic, evil-minded pornographic-loving violator of women and children and the elderly in a constant hunger to see slaughter, war, pestilence, famine and a few jolly tortures—much like the god of the Old Testament. What's even worse, the so called "christians" are in perfect agreement with him and his warped interpretation of God.


God, in the strictest of confidence, but with the most poignant admonition to Robertson ordered the preacher to “go forth into the world and spread the news” of the celestial Tyrant who delights in tragedy.


Pat cannot be stopped. He will not be silenced. His predictions are yearly and sometimes daily. In many ways he imitates the Gates of Heaven’s founder, as well as the radio star Harold Camping who predicted that the world would end on May 21, 2011.




Robertson predicted that Russia would invade Israel in 1982. It did not happen. The multimillionaire minister projected a worldwide economic collapse in 1985. It did not happen. And the televangelist tantalized his cult followers by predicting that US Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-W.V.) would be elected president in 1996. In 1998, Robertson warned Orlando, Florida, it was to feel the wrath of God. God would never forgive the city–nor Disney World–for offending the terrible deity. All were to be punished by god who would strike the city with hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes. Robertson’s warning, his angry announcement of the vengeance that his god would wrack upon the popular tourist attraction and on the homes of its citizens came after Orlando, Florida, city officials voted in 1998 to fly rainbow flags from city lampposts during the annual Gay Days event at Disney World. Speaking for his god, Robertson issued the city this deprecation denouncing their tolerance of the LGBT community:



“I don’t think I’d be waving those flags in God’s face if I were you. … A condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It’ll bring about terrorist bombs, it’ll bring earthquakes, tornadoes and possibly a meteor”.

On September 11, 2001, Robertson justified the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the USA. He pontifically predicated:


“We have allowed rampant pornography on the Internet, and rampant secularism and the occult, etc. to be broadcast on television. We have permitted somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-40 million unborn babies to be slaughtered by our society.“We have a court that has essentially stuck its finger in God’s eye and said, “We are going to legislate You out of the schools and take Your commandments from the courthouses in various states. We are not going to let little children read the commandments of God. We are not going to allow the Bible or prayer in our schools.”
“We have insulted God at the highest level of our government. Then, we say, “Why does this happen?” It is happening because God Almighty is lifting His protection from us. Once that protection is gone, we are vulnerable because we are a free society”.









So, 9/11 happened not because of terrorism, Bin Laden, you know the people that actually claimed they did the act in question and not for the reasons they said they did it. No...It was because of gay's, secularism, the occult, abortion and prayer in school. It's the 10 commandments, something that has absolutely nothing to do with the legal system, being taken out of the courthouse. Because God has hurt feelings, we suffered the greatest terrorist attack on American soil, even though Bin Laden took the rap for it for an entirely different modus operandi. Ok. In July 2003, Robertson came close to calling for the assassination of US Supreme Court Justices, but backed off, urging the 700 Club audience to pray for God to remove three justices from the Supreme Court so they could be replaced by conservatives. I feel the love of Christ all over that one. “We ask for miracles in regard to the Supreme Court,” Robertson said as he launched a 21-day “prayer offensive” directed at the Supreme Court. Robertson is quoted in a letter on the CBN website that the court “has opened the door to homosexual marriage, bigamy, legalized prostitution and even incest;” None of which had occurred or even is before the current conservative justices. The same letter targeted three justices in particular: “One justice is 83-years-old, another has cancer and another has a heart condition. Would it not be possible for God to put it in the minds of these three judges that the time has come to retire?” Can't God put it in your heart to just shut up?




In August 2005, Pat Robertson demanded that the USA assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez: “We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don’t need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It’s a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with.” He noted, “You know, I don’t know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we’re trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It’s a whole lot cheaper than starting a war … and I don’t think any oil shipments will stop”. Oh, but what about the 10 commandments Pat? Isn't there something about killing in there? I guess we can sort of make allowances for people we don't like because America is the only "godly" nation left, right? I mean where do these people come from? Don't pray for me Pat, Pray for yourself and the obvious brain dead minions that fall for your ponzi scheme and send you money every month. What type of Christian openly advocates for the death of another human being on National TV? How is he any different than the tyrant that he wants to have killed? This is almost like putting a hit out on someone, and of course we have to make sure that we keep the oil shipments going. All of the brown people are nothing more than gas station attendants who are here to just produce oil and give it up to God's chosen Nation. Are you serious?!





In November 2005, Robertson turned bitterly against the citizens of Dover, PA, barking that since the people of Dover had rejected God by voting their school board out of office for supporting “Intelligent Design”:


“I’d like to say to the good citizens of Dover: if there is a disaster in your area, don’t turn to God, you just rejected Him from your city… And don’t wonder why He hasn’t helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I’m not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that’s the case, don’t ask for His help because he might not be there” as Robertson’s god is not only intolerant but will maintain hatred for those who defy him or his prophets. Right...how dare people want to have actual science taught in school over religion? Intelligent design should be left in the church pews and not in a science class. THIS IS WHY THEY'RE BEATING US!




In January 2010, Robertson argued nationwide that the devastating earthquake in Haiti results from a “pact with the devil” made by the people of Haiti in the early 19th Century just prior to their revolt against the French. Did he grab a Deloreon and travel back in time to see this pact with Satan or does he know because he is in fact Satan himself and he has first hand knowledge of the conversation? After the New York State Legislature voted to legalize same-sex marriages, Robertson dourly predicted Judgment Day was at hand:


“I think we need to remember the term sodomy came from a town known as Sodom and Sodom was destroyed by God Almighty and the thing that they practiced was homosexual activity and even they tried to rape angels who came down there, so that’s the kind of people they were,” Robertson said. God “sent an angel down there and He said to Lot and his family, ‘get out now because I’m gonna destroy this whole area.’”“We’re heading that way as a nation. In history there’s never been a civilization ever in history that has embraced homosexuality and turned away from traditional fidelity, traditional marriage, traditional child-rearing, and has survived. There isn’t one single civilization that has survived that openly embraced homosexuality. So you say, ‘what’s going to happen to America?” Well if history is any guide, the same thing’s going to happen to us,’” he predicted.


Robertson also admitted that Jesus “didn’t say anything about the homosexuality.”


News flash Bible scholar: the stunning stupidity shown to the world by Robertson’s lack of education, non-existent knowledge of language or word meaning exposes his ignorance. The word “homosexual” appears no where in either the Jewish nor Christian Bibles, nor in Islam’s Quran (it was not even invented before the end of the nineteenth century). Not only does the bible reject the contemporary fundamentalist interpretation of the City of Sodom being destroyed because of gay marriage or same-sex sexuality, it clearly states that the sin in Sodom was Lot’s incest with his two daughters, making both pregnant . His translation skills do not exist (he barely has a command of the English language) but his interpretation skills are a fantasy. God's only dislikes America a little and puts cracks in things, but really hates dark and brown people and wipes them out according to this muppett.






Let's talk about traditional marriage, when we have shows on TV called Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, Who wants to Marry a Millionaire, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, etc...we don't hold traditional marriage in that high regard. Every society has had gays, arranged marriages, polygamy, etc...Alexander the Great was bi-sexual and he was one of the greatest rulers in the world and ruled over one of the greatest societies in the world. Every period had gays, so this notion that gays are some new abnormality that will ruin society is crazy. Let them get married, let them die a little more inside like the rest of us.



I seriously fear that this man is suffering from a mental illness along with his followers. He is such a moron and it appears that he passes out crack rocks instead of crackers at communion. Maybe we need to rescue God from the wacko's like you and all the rodeo clowns on TBN. Since Robertson explained the crack in the monument, maybe he can explain the crack in his head

This gets a sphincter factor of 5 and I've rolled my eyes so hard hearing this, I'm afraid they will get stuck again. If he was being sarcastic that's fine, if he was being serious, then man...he needs prayer, serious under the altar prayer. Fox News host Eric Bolling pulled a Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday, asserting that there were no terrorist attacks on "American soil" during President Bush's term in office. Technically he's right...flying a plane into a skyscraper isn't an attack on American soil, it was an attack on American buildings and American air.

Giuliani famously made a similar assertion in early 2010, saying, "we had no domestic attacks under Bush." Of course, the 9/11 attacks didn't happen under Bush. (Dude...you were Mayor in New York during 9/11! You were there, I saw you on TV walking down the street with a mask on. Unlike you, I remember the year and actual day that the tragedy happened. It was on a Tuesday while I was in college. Bush, the worst President of anything in history, was at a school reading a book to a bunch of black kids to show that he doesn't hate black people, and most people were still pissed about his coronation by the Supreme Court. See how easy that is? This was your platform when you ran for President, you know, AMERICA'S GOVERNOR!) We will never forget? None of this rings a bell huh?


Bolling's misstatement came during a discussion on the network's Glenn Beck replacement show, "The Five." He and a panel—which included former Bush spokeswoman Dana Perino (the blond bobble head that knew nothing about the Cuban Missile Crisis)—were arguing about whether Bush had been guilty of "fear-mongering" during his tenure. Panelist Bob Beckel said that the former president had used fear-mongering around the non-existent weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. As he attempted to continue his point, Bolling cut him off and started to move on to the next segment. (a wise choice).

"America was certainly safe between 2000 and 2008," he said. "I don't remember any attacks on American soil during that period of time." Nobody on the panel challenged this comment.

 Let me repeat: NO ONE ON THE PANEL CHALLENGED THIS COMMENT. Are you kidding me? Is this a comedy a comedy show or a circus? This was on Fox News. This is the channel that criticizes people for not wearing an American flag lapel pen. They made their fortune out of bastardizing the memory and politicizing 9/11. Did you miss the 2001 part? Bush was elected crowned in 2000. So, exactly how did we get this "no attacks in the last decade", when we relive 9/11 every September for the entire month of September? Our entire foreign policy is based on 9/11. Did you forget who was in the White House during that time? Curious George! That was arguably when he performed at his best, yet he mis managed the Intel by not following up on reports and plans by the FBI and the CIA, which caused the incident in the first place. It's almost like incompetence is a required skill to work at Fox News along with being morally bankrupt. I mean I need to check Wikipedia to see if someone altered 9/11 to make it happen other than on the Duke of Hazard's stolen first term. If Fox had to offer retractions or corrections on their shows, would there be time left for commercials? It's a simple mistake really 9-11-2001, that's a lot of numbers and let's face it, math is hard.

Anyone that watches Fox and takes anything they say seriously outside of the Family Guy and American Dad, should seriously have their head examined because you are without a doubt the most uniformed of any news consumers. It's not just me saying that, check out The University of Maryland study, called "Misinform­ation and the 2010 Election". Yeah, I'm looking down on you, and calling you stupid if you watch Fox. You watch Fox, listen to Rupert Murdoch's minions and you go to the polls and vote against your interests, what have you achieved?  A bunch of idiots that have no experience who think the sun revolves around the earth, humans and dinosaurs co-existed and that homosexuality can be prayed away. You wanted change but you voted in status quo. This debt ceiling crap is the Democrat's fault, but it's also the so called "we the people" who don't understand anything about the legislative process, job creation, accounting, business, anything but religion, conspiracy theories and guns.
