Artur Davis Returns to Alabama: Tail Between His Legs and Wants to be Mayor

The lights have gone down, the cameras are off and people are no longer interested in what was once a promising Uncle Tom that bitterly switched parties, ran to Virginia, attempted to get a job with a loser presidential candidate, attempted to consult, and is now launching an "exploratory committee" to run for Mayor of Montgomery. Here is the thing with Mr. Davis...he doesn't need an exploratory committee in lieu of common sense. I don't have a Harvard degree, but I bet I can tell him without him spending his money that he is wasting his time, just like I would've told him back in 2010 when he ran the most idiotic gubernatorial campaign in history that he would lose. If he just has money that is burning a hole in his pocket, then he can send it to my car finance company and let's call it a day.

I'm Running For Mayor...Can I Count On Your Vote? "Don't Make Me Laugh"!!!!!!!!

Artur needs to understand that people in Alabama are low information on a lot of things such as tax reform, medicare, ACA, the lottery and they will be easily manipulated if "Jesus" is said enough times in a sentence by a political candidate. However, for all their shortcomings, they will never elect a blatant hypocrite into office. Being a centrist Democrat is fine, not being beholden to the shucking and jiving that one has to do to secure a democratic nomination in Alabama among the black churches is fine, but to condescend to them, ignore them, blame them and blame Obama for your loss is beyond dumb. He lost 2010 because he ran a piss poor campaign, read the climate of the political environment wrong, and behaved as if he already won the primary and was in the general already. The TEA Party was in it's frenzied infancy in 2010, and they were vehemently against Obama and anything that resembled Obama. Davis attended law school with Obama and seconded his nomination at the Democratic convention in 2008, so is there any surprise that he was subsequently linked to Obama? Did he really need an exploratory committee to tell him about that?

After the folly of his gubernatorial campaign, he talked about running for Virginia State Senate, we see that didn't work...He worked for a law firm for about a year and then became a resident fellow at Harvard University’s Institute for Politics in the spring of 2012. He garnered support from the cluster fox crowd by pimping himself out campaigning for Romney and speaking at the Republican convention, being the token with a horrible hair cut, black  to counter the Democrat "token black". He got to speak on some tea party shows, got to be named on some imaginary Romney black people inroads committee with other psychotic token blacks like Allen West, that no member of the black community would ever take seriously or care about. You know to make the GOP seem less racist but only with a chocolate shell. Then realized that he bet on the wrong horse when the magic underpants man lost, took all his toys off the sand lot like a petulant 5 year old, to Virgina and vowed never to play in Alabama again. 

Until now...

Montgomery is still a heavily democratic city, with a popular Mayor, Davis is a Republican now and believes that one must overcome partisanship. "It’s a citywide vision for Montgomery,” Davis said. “To be a good mayor of Montgomery, you can’t be partisan. You have to represent both sides, all sides, and I would bring the same point of view.” He's delusional...the same point of view? which is to throw a tantrum when you lose, betray those that support you, then come slithering back when those in the big time fail to take you seriously.

Artur goes on to say, “I didn’t expect to be involved in politics again at all,” he said. “But where I think I can do the most good would be in public service, and the reason mayor of Montgomery came to my attention is it’s my hometown, one I have an enormous identification with, and the challenges there are exactly the challenges that propelled me into politics in the first place.” Don't make me laugh...that was a long time ago and you aren't that guy anymore. How about this...don't get involved with politics then? Do yourself and all of us a huge favor and stop now. Spare yourself and the fake wife the humiliation of yet another loss. Have some dignity please. But what am I saying, I am talking about Artur, Bendadict Arnold/ Brutus Davis. There are no principles, no honor, but just some lame angle to try and win at any cost and we all know that you are not a winner anymore. It's like he went to the Universal Studios school of political science and strategy. Someone that started with so much promise is just a spoiled brat with a weak handshake, a beard of a wife that comes out only for photo ops and no credibility. It's bad when Beyonce' with her 5th grade level book report/ love letter to Michelle Obama can do a half naked video for "Let's Move", then a week later sign a $50 million dollar deal with Pepsi and can still get more people interested in voting and elections than Artur Davis. And she knows nothing about nothing. Like literally...nothing. I would bet most people don't even know who he is or even cares.

Artur Davis is a gold fish in a shark costume who believed that he was shark, the only shark in the water in fact. Once he got in the ocean with the real sharks, he wanted to jump back in the bowl with the gold fish. At this point, we just need to flush him down the drain and let the sewer rats have a non partisan hack snack.

Artur Davis Named to Romney's Black Leadership Council...(Insert Laughter)

FRAUDULENT

Republican presidential nominee and resident cult member Mitt Romney announced  that former Birmingham congressman Artur Davis would be a member of his new Black Leadership Council. Artur is movin on up, like George and Weezy, at least in his own mind.

Davis, who represented Alabama's 7th District for eight years as a Democrat, recently switched parties and endorsed Romney because he tried to be the Gubernatorial Obama in a red state and took the ignorant negroes for granted. You see, the 7th district is primarily black. All one needs is to have a pulse, pander to the right people and you win. Running for Governor is a different thing and a HARVARD UNDERGRAD AND LAW GRAD should be able to figure that out. A first year poli-sci student would know that. This clown tried to run the primary like it was the general and just assumed that since he was the "Alabama Obama", they would just vote for him and that simply wasn't the case. His arrogance, apathy and sheer incompetence lost him that race not the intractability or partisanship of the Democrats.

The council "will help facilitate dialogue between Mitt Romney and respected leaders who provide unique expertise, experience and knowledge on a range of issues impacting black American communities," according to the campaign announcement. I thought your family owning slaves was  your bridge to understanding us Mittens. Oh wait, you have black friends and they have been in your house, so of course you can facilitate the needs of blacks.

"I am proud to have the endorsements of so many leaders in the black community," Romney said in a prepared statement from the campaign. "They know all too well that the economic downturn that has continued to hammer our country has been even more devastating for black Americans. Together, we will work to end that downturn, and we will not rest until all Americans have the jobs they need, the quality education they are owed, and the opportunities they deserve." How about this Mittens, email me, I will send you my address, mail me a check for $50K and save the "advice" from a loser like Artur. Yes, his face is black, his hand is white and he has a giant yellow streak going down his back. Marriage advice from Kim Kardashian has more weight than this so called black advisory counsel. Plus, didn't Mittens just become tolerant to this black man and the equality of the black race at large via his religion in 1978, so this entire scenario is ridiculous.

Please don't insult my intelligence with this joke of an appointment. I would rather have Allen West represent me exclusively, at least he has conviction and I know what side of the fence he's on. Granted it's on the crazy side of the fence with a 1987 fade, but we at least know where he stands. That is something that Artur and Allen West have in common, outdated haircuts... 

I thought that Artur's main complaint was that black people weren't beholden to black leaders in party leadership, so this appointment is a bit confusing and contradictory. But again, he said all those things BEFORE he got beat by Fire Marshall Bill that no one knew.

The chairs of the national council are U.S. Reps. Tim Scott of South Carolina and Allen West of Florida, and Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll. Davis is one of 18 other council members. Well there you have it...Mittens might want to consider some sound black leaders for this task because West and Davis, have less credibility than a wisecracking leprechaun.

Working Hard or Hardly Working?

In the wake of the her failed attempt at "helping" the unemployed and underemployed on Wednesday's laughable Job-less fair, I decided to research all of the Congresswoman's sponsored Bills. It didn't take long.

She was elected in 2010 and she has sponsored a whopping 4 Bills, Four. I know elementary school kids who write more book reports in a semester than that. Let's look at the these Bills.

May 4, 2011- H.Res 1730

Small Business Start-Up Savings Account Act of 2011
Amends the IRS code to provide for tax-exempt small business start up savings accounts to pay for trade or business expenses, including the purchase of equipment of facilities, marketing, training, incorporation, and accounting fees. This might be the only Bill that will be worth anything because it can be part of the tax code, it's been referred to House Committee on Ways and Means. Basically, the people that set up the taxes in the country.

Oct. 12, 2011- H. Res 432


Celebrating the life and achievements of Reverend Fred Lee Shuttlesworth and honoring his tireless efforts in the fight against segregation and his steadfast commitment to the civil rights of all people. That's nice and all, but how does that really help the poor and economically depressed people currently occupying her district. What about all of her campaign promises?  I thought her top priority was going to be jobs and the pathetic excuse for a transit system we have here. No... we think its more fitting to latch on to the civil rights movement because old black people down here like that crap, and pandering to them translates to votes and young blacks don't vote or move out of Alabama, for good reason. (The lack of jobs, thanks Terri Sewell for proving my point).

Congratulating the University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team for winning the 2011 Bowl Championship Series National Championship. You have got to be joking...This is what's important? Football. This is one of the reasons Alabama takes the bottom spot in education, economics, city planning and pretty much anything positive. But God help us, we have fried chicken, football, beer, a church on every block, a murder every day and don't let anyone say anything bad about St. Nick Saban. The championship win is fine and congratulating the team is fine, but what about your district Congresswoman? We have celebrities that have done more with the mantle of responsibility of public office than people we elect and that's pathetic. This is pathetic. Don't go on about how you were called to lead and how you want to help people, when this is the only nonsense you come up with. Save the stories about your dad and your mom and how they inspired you. If this is your best, then you really should hang your head in shame, because  this isn't good enough. If you believe what you have done is your best, I question how you made it at Princeton and I would ask for a refund.

Directing the Office of the Historian to compile oral histories from current and former Members of the House of Representatives involved in the historic and annual Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, marches as well as the civil rights movement in general, for the purposes of expanding or augmenting the historic record and for public dissemination and education. Is there anything new about the bridge burning, busing, sit-ins, dogs and hoses, when people are trying desperately to get a job. This seems like an ineffective use of your time Congresswoman. Do we not have a Civil Rights museum in Birmingham? Why do we need more histories when we already have histories? We even have Martin Luther King's jail cell. This is not what you were sent to Washington to do. That wasn't the platform that you ran on. You were supposed to work with people to help bring economic relief to your district because your opponent was too combative. Remember? Being a librarian in designer clothes was not the deal. Please loosen the weave and get your head out of your *ss and get it together.

Congresswoman, last time around, you had the benefit of no political baggage. This time, you have a schizo voting record and 4 bills, 3 of which, you are being nothing more than a library aide and 1 where you are simply a co-sponsor with 8 others. With the obvious political motives of that ineptly executed excuse for a job fair with no jobs, you might have some issues come re-election time. Just because you know Michelle Obama doesn't mean you will be re-elected. I know someone that knows Prince, that doesn't mean that I am going to Paisley Park anytime soon. You had better wise up and actually start to do what you were sent to Washington to do or you will be replaced just as easily as Earl Hilliard.

Why Do I Have A High Top Fade in 2012?




Republicans on Wednesday were celebrating the defection to the GOP this week of a former Democratic congressman and close ally of President Barack Obama, saying that it underscored their argument that the president has led the country on a march to the left. How I wonder since Obama's policies are pretty much George W. Bush's minus the double negative speech, and global embarrassment.


Former Alabama congressman Artur Davis, once a rising star in the Democratic Party and the man who helped put Obama’s name in nomination for the presidency in 2008, announced his intention to switch parties and said that he will vote for Mitt Romney in November. Surprise, surprise...This man will say and do anything to try and get back into political office. It's pathetic really...


“The fact that he has the courage to analyze the problems with the current administration on the issues of unifying diverse interests in America and creating jobs tells me this is a guy with a lot of principle,” said Virginia Gov. Robert McDonnell, R, who said he plans to call Davis in the next few days to welcome him to the party. Will they give him a pair of tap shoes, sheet music and a tux because he will be nothing more than a hired dancing monkey. The token black to prove once again, "Republican's aren't racists" and "Look I know black people, they come to my house."


Davis, a centrist delusionist who opposed the Democratic health-care bill, said he may run for elected office as a Republican in Virginia. (a political calculation so he wouldn't look like a "black politician")


In Virginia, Republicans saw in the black Harvard graduate an appealing potential candidate who could shake up the growing Democratic sway in northern Virginia.

“All I can say his analysis of the problems facing America are spot-on and his credentials are impeccable,” said McDonnell. “That’s a great start for being a candidate in northern Virginia or anywhere else in the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

Davis’s drift from the Democratic Party had been building for years, and Democrats dismissed his desertion as a tactical shift by a politician with wounded ambitions: Davis left Congress after he ran for governor of Alabama two years ago but failed to win his party’s nomination for the job. He won a whopping 38% of the vote by campaigning like he wanted to lose. His seat, the 7th Congressional District is made of predominately black counties in Alabama. All one needs to do to win is be black and human and you win that seat. He decided to run for governor right when the tea party took steam in 2010 with their ignorance and special brand of racism that has made this country grind to a halt since the Freshmen took control of Congress. Now, he also ignored all and I mean all the black Democratic leadership in the state which understandably pissed quite a few people off. Namely, the entire black electorate. I personally saw him at only one campaign function and I was with my candidate for several months for days on end. Imagine my shock when the ADC, (the Alabama Democratic Convention) sent out ballots endorsing Sparks (the white dude).

 But Davis’s political profile, his past vocal support of Obama and his pointed critique of the Democratic Party do create an opening for the GOP. Davis was the first congressman outside the president ‘s home state of Illinois to endorse Obama in 2007.

In an interview, Davis said he believes there is little tolerance in Democratic politics for “center-right” views like his own. No...he is still upset that he was soundly rejected that he ran a stupid campaign and the democrats didn't just vote for him because he's a Democrat. He just expected to be the Alabama Obama and that just because he went to Harvard and just because he is a lawyer, that somehow he would just get the black vote and all he had to worry about was the white vote. That was his calculation, and he calculated wrong. Now he is butt hurt and he want's to switch parties.

Brutus Davis says, “The conventional wisdom in this town is that the Democrats have stayed in one happily tolerant place and that Republicans have moved to the hard right,” Davis said. “I can assure you that in the Democratic Party, there is substantial intolerance for people who deviate from the party line.” Again, he deviated from the party line...now all he can do is whine.

Harpo, Who Dis Woman?

What did he do as Commissioner of the 7th? Nothing. People have sent him letters stating concerns and he never so much as sent a computerized response. The bills he sponsored were about agriculture, so 10 years in Congress that's what we got, NOTHING. He supports Romney, so what? This is one loser that sought a higher office based on Obama's name and now he is pouting. Is it Obama's fault that Artur married this fake wife to use for campaign purposes that no one ever saw? Riding on the back of that pickup truck on that campaign add didn't help did it? Is it Obama's fault that Artur didn't watch the news or check the political climate and notice that, "hey dummy, the racists are out screaming about taking my country back, maybe running for governor of the most racist state in America might not happen right now." 

Let me say this to Artur, no matter what party you switch to, you will be labeled a traitor and just because bashing the President is the flavor of the month, the Republican's will entertain you. At least until he is re-elected. Virginia is still a southern state just like Alabama, and just like Alabama wasn't ready to vote for you as the First Black Governor, Virginia most certainly won't vote for a traiterous loser like you, so join the ranks with Category 5 Moron Michelle Bachmann, Sister Sarah Palin,  Herb Cain, Mittens Romney, Fat Drug Addict Titular head of the party Limbaugh, Dead Rabbit Toupe Trump, Worlds Saddest Tangerine Boehner, and tell us again how sane and moderate these people are one more time when they try to bring the President up on treason charges or claim that he was born in Kenya or worse, tie tax cuts to the raising of the debt ceiling so the country's credit rating can be down graded again. I and everyone else can see what this is, you are hurt because your precious male ego is bruised and you are seeking vengeance against the party that hurt you. Take responsibilty for the fact that you ran a piss poor campaign at the wrong time in history. Obama is the first Black President, not you, Get over it. How the hell did you make it to Harvard?
