Congress Critter Approval Rating Drops...

And I'm a graduate of the university of DUH!
It's a Full Moon in Washington

The poll  a new Associated Press-GfK poll finds the tea party has lost support, Republican House Speaker John Boehner is increasingly unpopular and people are warming to the idea of not just cutting spending but also raising taxes – anathema to the GOP – just as both parties prepare for another struggle with deficit reduction. The poll finds more people are down on their own member of Congress, not just the institution, an unusual finding in surveys and one bound to make incumbents particularly nervous. In interviews, some people said the debt standoff itself, which caused a crisis of confidence to ripple through world markets, made them wonder whether lawmakers are able to govern at all.

Did we really need a poll to tell us this? Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light? If you voted Republican you have. But, you thought it was Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and he passed out Jesus Juice.

Much about the next election hinges on independent voters (the dumbest and least informed), the ever-growing group fiercely wooed by campaigns for years. These respondents, the poll found, were the least forgiving toward incumbents and shifted substantially toward the need to raise taxes as part of the deficit and debt solution. They shift like the moon. *Poof, no new taxes. *Poof raise taxes. They don't know what they want or can find their own butts on a map.

My solution to the politician problem is term limits. Instead of amending the Cosntitution for abortion or traditional marriage only - let's pass a law that no Senator or House Representative can serve two consecutive terms?

That way, if the person wants to run again - they simply have to sit out for one term and then they can run again in six or two years respectively.

AND no golden health

Why the Balance Budget Ammendment is Stupid and Will Never Happen

It appears the Republicans are losing the battle on the debt ceiling and America is one step closer to being just another dead beat debtor screening calls from it's many bill collectors. Everyone needs to experience that feeling at least once...The president has refused to make massive cuts without at least some tax increases (for the rich or fictional job creators as the GOP calls them). And Wall Street is pressuring the right-wing Republicans to increase the debt ceiling whether they get any agreement with Obama or not. Even a large part of their own party thinks it would make sense to accompany cuts with at least a small tax increase. I didn't get a degree in economics, but it is only logical to tax in order to raise revenues, and taxing so called job creators, who interestingly have created no jobs, are the people to tax.

But many of these right-wingers were nominated and elected by teabaggers, and they are terrified that giving in and raising the debt ceiling would be the end of their political career (because the same teabaggers that elected them would replace them with someone else who probably understands economic policy even less than they do, and that's a frightening prospect). What are these right-wing Republicans to do? They are stuck between the wishes of Wall Street (their contributors) and the teabaggers (their base). That's The Devil and the Super Devil...

What some of them are doing is reviving the ludicrous idea of a balanced budget amendment which sounds great for stupid people who don't know anything and who will respond positively for campaign posters and bumper stickers. Usually, passing legislation that they know will never be enacted solely to pander to their base has been the domain of the Republicans in the House. But now the Senate Republicans would like to try it out, too. Since that's a winning strategy... As such, all 41 GOP senators announced that they have signed on to Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey’s “Balanced Budget Amendment” idea, a plan to add a need for a balanced budget to the federal constitution.

They'll vote to raise the debt ceiling (they really have to eventually), but they are trying to soothe their base by pushing the idea of getting a balanced budget amendment passed. Bruce Bartlett, a policy advisor to President Reagan and Treasury official under President H.W. Bush, called the Republican plan "mind boggling in its insanity" and said this act of political posturing would be a huge mistake:

"In short, this is quite possibly the stupidest constitutional amendment I think I have ever seen. It looks like it was drafted by a couple of interns on the back of a napkin. Every senator cosponsoring this POS should be ashamed of themselves." Lol!

Here are the simple reasons why it's a stupid idea:

It will take forever to get an amendment enacted by Congress and approved by three-quarters of the states (that's the 50 STATES, THE ENTIRE 50 HAVE TO APPROVE THE AMENDMENT), if it can be done at all.

The budget must be balanced except in times of war. So when are we not at war? We have been at war for at least a decade and we have a need to intervene in every conflict everywhere at all times. Wouldn't this so called amendment make it harder to cut taxes because it would force a tax increase...exactly...

We are running a deficit of over $1 trillion for the the foreseeable future, can't really hop on the balanced budget bandwagon if we are nowhere near a balanced budget.

The Balanced Budget Amendment is Unenforceable legally. How will it enforce spending and tax increases? Legally, we wouldn't even know that the budget was unbalanced until the end of the fiscal year. A federal court can't force people to give back funds they have dispersed for social security, medicare, wages for government workers and goods and services. Therefore, the nonsense the Republicans are proposing is basically not happening.

This is a brain-dead stuck on stupid, piece of political fecal matter with a side of vomit that proves that Americans are stupid. Why? These nimrods are our representatives and these are apparently the best this nation has to offer to run this anemic government. Anyone that believes that we can pay our debts based on the interest, is insane. The GOP/ baggers swore they would focus on jobs but instead we have functional retards that are distracted by shiny objects, bartering away women's rights and insuring that corporations pay no federal income taxes while the gap between the rich and the poor continues to grow wider and wider.

You gotta wonder about these “Republicans” who dismantled PAYGO and then instituted a huge new entitlement program (Medicare Part D), a huge new cabinet-level department (Homeland Security) and started a pointless war (Iraq), all without bothering to make provisions for paying for any of it, other than borrowing from the Chinese.

Saying no to PAYGO but yes to a constitutional amendment is like saying I’m starting a diet next Monday so today I’m going to eat a whole pizza followed by a tub of ice-cream. Knowing, of course, that “next Monday” is in fact a decade away, given the cumbersome nature of the amendment process.

Wishing Obama Was A Dick

Mark Halperin was terminated from his job as arm chair pundit on Country Joe Scarbrough for calling the President a Dick for telling the Republicans to do their jobs. If only Obama truly were this so called"dick", he's more like a "p$ssy" just like every Democrat that is elected into public office. Why can't he be more like W. and the rest of the "shoot first ask questions later squad"? Don't get me wrong, Bush made the wrong choices, but if the House, Senate, American people and the world at large didn't agree with  Bush and co., they would tell them to go f*ck themselves. Not Obama. He continues to disappoint his base by "negotiating" with people who have no interest in working with him and wants to see him fail. We watched in alarm as he played his hand early on healthcare, giving up the public option he campaigned on, extending the Bush tax cuts in order to extend unemployment benefits. The final insult, is the raising of the debt by tying it into the destruction to end Medicare. This decision or bargaining position is out of step with the American people, the administration has baffling sabotaged its sharpest contrast with the GOP by putting Medicare on the bargaining table. And Social Security, too, even though it has nothing to do with the debt ceiling, or even the deficit. And while Republicans keep upping their spending cut demands by hundreds of billions of dollars, the president has pre-emptively abandoned any attempt to restore Clinton-era tax rates on millionaires, another lopsidedly popular proposal among Americans, and he has instead bought in to his opponents' narrative that the reason American businesses are sitting on trillions of dollars of cash is because they lack "certainty" about future tax policy. (Right, where are the jobs?)

Does he have a secret strategy like he did with Bin Laden, sitting coolly, possessing a knowledge that us mere mortals are ignorant about? Obama needs to walk in the House chamber and just slap people for GP or he needs a titanium spine implant, better yet, he should borrow Michelle's. It's obvious that she has that quality that can get difficult things done. Can he for once control the argument and effectively state that the Republicans are willing to push the economy of the cliff for the sake of partisan ideology. Nope. He will as usual let the kids in the room have a temper tantrum and this time hold the entire world economy hostage. How is that for hope and change?

Is this an attempt by the administration to create a crisis to move the agenda forward? God, I hope not. That strategy doesn't work in government or in everyday life. The theory that people work harder to meet deadlines when they have to, creates an atmosphere of fear and paranoia which makes people work just hard enough not to get fired.

Why does spending cuts have to be linked to the debt ceiling? When The Duke of Hazard was President, no one heard about the debt ceiling. It was raised 7 times and the hill was so quiet you could hear a snake break wind in Egypt. There was no grandstanding and politicking about the debt. The people that created the debt is now all concerned about the debt they created and is making it the scariest thing ever. When you truly believe you are God's chosen political party and that if the whole world goes to hell in a hand-basket that Jesus will return and whisk you all away in the blink of an eye, why should you compromise on any point? To compromise is to mean you don't have faith in God and to not have faith in God means you aren't a Christian. There...the whole goofy explanation for the actions of the Repubs/Tea Partiers in two short sentences.

Republicans want to destroy Obama's presidency, but Obama isn't helping his re-election cause himself. Senate Minority Leader, The Blob/ Turtle Mitch McConnell, suggested that Congress give up its power to raise the debt ceiling, and instead effectively transfer that authority -- and the political pain that comes with it -- to the White House for the remainder of Obama's current term. Under current law, Congress raises the debt ceiling, which allows the Treasury Department to issue more bonds to pay off debts and fund projects that Congress has already authorized. Raising the debt ceiling does not authorize or appropriate new spending, but merely settles old bills.

Yet under McConnell's plan, which he called his "last-choice option," the White House would request an increase in the debt ceiling and Congress could only block that request with a veto-proof super majority -- effectively ceding control over the debt limit to the White House. A super majority would likely be difficult to amass, especially when neither party's leadership genuinely wants the nation to default.
The bill would require the president to recommend spending cuts -- without revenue-raisers -- in the same amounts of a debt ceiling increase request, although actually passing the cuts would not be necessary to raise the debt limit.

"It gives the president 100 percent of the responsibility for increasing the debt limit," Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) told reporters after the press conference.

The debt limit would be increased three times during Obama's term: First, by $700 billion over the next few weeks, then $900 billion in the fall and another $900 billion in the spring, McConnell said.

But the bill doesn't guarantee that spending cuts will happen, McConnell said. Can you just hear the crap that will come out this lizards mouth? Why so pessimistic? Republicans have been making fools of themselves and a mockery of the government they pretend to serve for quite a while, yet , come next year, there will be just enough fools with their fingers in their noses saying, "Aw, heck, maybe I aughta re-elect 'em" and mostly in the South which is why we are in this mess in the first place. Again, Obama and the Democrats bear a great deal of blame for being completely ineffective for communicating message to the lowest common denominator, i.e. the American voter. They continuously get out "christian-ed", out "feared" and out everything that makes people fill in that oval on November 4th. The Republicans are beholden to the Fortune 500 CEO's and Wallstreet and if anyone believes any different they are delusional.

This new "last choice option" is a win/ win strategy for the Republicans because if Obama  raises the debt ceiling they can denounce him as a spender, if he doesn't raise it they can blame him for our nation defaulting.

This is truly a scary time for this nation, our elected officials care nothing for our best interests, it's all politics all the time, there are more people than jobs, mass unemployment (I should know) , and the people that we have elected to fight for us have no fight in them.

The perfect storm is brewing for a 1939 Nazi Germany to take place here in the American fatherland/ homeland , unemployment, war, decline of American prestige, a minority group to vilify, a fearful naive electorate, propaganda news channels, a melding of religion and politics, re writing of history, denial of science, lust for war, and global dominance. American Fascism will come in the shadow of the cross and wrapped in the flag.

I stopped defending Obama after the healthcare debacle. Had he and the rest of the Dem's held their ground during that debate, giving in the Republicans during the stimulus, the debate in December, the Republicans wouldn't act like spoiled petulant children taking throwing sippy cups around DC. Obama was again ready to give up Medicare and Social Security just to appease after he scolded Republican's about not being willing to get the job done...

He is willing to make a deal with Satan, Hitler, Stalin, Manson, Dahmer, Judas Iscariot, Jason Voorhies, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Daffy Duck, Mickey Mouse, Ivanna Humpalot, I.P. Freely...anyone.

Dick Cheney was a Dick, he shot a dude in the face and the guy apologized to him and his family. Obama is not a Dick, he is a p$ssy, a dry, loose, hooker STD infected p$ssy with no traction. I can support a Dick for President and re-election...I can NOT support a p$ssy.

You see my hear me? LET ME TURN MY MIDDLE FINGER UP!

Democrats Can Taste the Rainbow

The definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. That is our American political system.

Both Republicans and Democrats have bemoaned farm subsidies as the worst thing next to Satan as far as the budget deficit is concerned. They have vowed to cut these subsidies in an attempt to trim the fat and provide millions in so called savings for the next ten years. However, the GOP decided to cut food aid for low income women and children instead. That's right folks, the Republicans decimated WIC to dust instead of cutting useless subsidies to rich farmers. Stopping people from buying off brand cheese, milk and Juicy juice, is more important than ending support for a corrupt system of corporate welfare. We all know that giving poor people money will aid the economy better than giving tax cuts to the so called job creators. Don't believe me? Go to the projects, you will find flat screens, Cadillacs, Coach handbags, and Direct TV satellite's. Unemployment Insurance goes directly to the economy. It pays for food, rent, you know necessities. Trust me...I have been unemployed for over a year and the "go get a job", story doesn't work when you send out thousands of resume's and hear, "You are over qualified", "we think you are going to be bored here." If the government is so serious about ending the recession they should give blacks reparations. The economy would bounce back in no time, KFC's stock would soar, Caprice's or Crown Vic's would be the #1 car, and Jordan's would be the #1 shoe. According to them, the best thing to do, is kill aid for the poor and pray for them, but give kickbacks to their rich friends and political donors and this goes for both parties. Thanks Democrats for your pathetic efforts for helping fight, more like give up and let the Republicans have their way. What the people that go to the poll never consider is that these so called law makers are all employed.

Today, the Democrats left a soldier on the battlefield with a grazed shoulder bleed to death for political expediency. No Republican, no matter the scandal, the number of little boys in the closet, dead body's, hookers, semen covered dresses would've left poured water on a drowning man. Democrat's are so fruity that I believe they can poop skittles. Where is the loyalty for one of your own? That's what Black's and Democrat's have in common. Not sticking together, stabbing each other in the back...yeah, I see it now. So, now the Weiner penis sexting "distraction" is gone and the Congress can get back to work doing what exactly? Oh that's right...NOTHING!

The rest of the civilized Western World is shaking their heads at this idiocy, but we still keep giving the chimps the keys to the cages and wonder why the zoo is out of control.
